Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston put Angelica Hale on ECMO support for lifesaving treatment. Her condition was a result of multiple organ dysfunction, including failing kidneys. Peritoneal dialysis, and then hemolysis was her new norm. After having spent 80 days in hospital her condition changed from in danger of death to an extended recovering journey. Angelica endured dialysis treatments for over a decade and half before she could undergo her kidney transplant. The mother of Angelica was the organ donor. Angelica Hale and her mother had a kidney transplantation in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and the Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston on September 13 2013. Angelica Hale, a young Atlantan girl who always dreamed of becoming an actress and a singer, is still pursuing this dream.
